Vermont Cricket Club Junior Teams

Vermont Cricket Club provides a comprehensive junior cricket program in a safe and fun environment for children of all ages and skill levels.

We have qualified coaches and experienced players who encourage all players to participate and develop their cricket.

In 2023/24 Vermont Cricket Club is offering the following programs:

Woolworths Junior Blasters  Junior Blasters is an introductory skills-based program using tennis balls that is, ideal for getting 6 and 7-year-olds outside and a taste for cricket.

Super 7s is perfect for children that have come up from Junior Blasters and is ideal for 8-year-olds.

Girls Squad is for all girls aged between 8 and 15.

U12s – players must be under 12 as of 31 Aug 2023 to play in this grade.

U12 teams play on Friday evenings.

U14s - players must be under 14 as of 31 Aug 2023 to play in this grade.

U14 teams play on Saturday mornings.

U16s - players must be under 16 as of 31 Aug 2023 to play in this grade.

U16 teams play on Saturday mornings.

U18s - players must be under 18 as of 31 August 2023. 

The U18 team plays on Friday evenings.

Training nights

Training is usually held on the following nights:

Girls Squad                 Wednesday (5-6pm)

U12s                               Wednesday (4-5pm)

U14s                                  Tuesday (4.30-6pm)

U16s                                  Thursday (4.30-6pm)

U18s                                  Thursday (5-7pm)

The Vermont Cricket Club provides junior cricket programs for children aged 5 to 16. Each level promotes participation and inclusion of all skill levels, providing a fun and healthy environment for children to participate in sport.

  • All VCC equipment is available on request at games and training.
  • All players receive a Vermont Cricket Club playing shirt. All new players also receive a Vermont cap.
  • Note, all registrations before the end of August receive a VCC personalised Vermont playing shirt.
  • 1 free coaching session at Topline Cricket in Bayswater North is available to all junior players.

Vermont Cricket Club Juniors recognises that healthy eating is a vital part of good health and enjoyable participation in sport. We acknowledge that healthy eating can have a positive impact on the lives of our members and that the Junior club can contribute to this through the provision and promotion of healthy options.
