Tim Graham awarded VCC Life Member

At part one of our four series of Season 2019/20 Club Presentations that are happening each Thursday night prior to selections, the club was honoured to announce Tim Graham as our newest Life Member of Vermont Cricket Club.

The nomination for Life Member was proposed by former club President Neale Reid and was unanimously voted for at the Annual General Meeting that was held on 5th September 2020.

In his submission, Neale said:

Tim's love for this club, and the people in it is incomparable, his work ethic and attitude to getting the job done is outstanding.

Tim might have never pulled on a pair of pads or bowled a ball, but he is always the man that makes sure the players are wanting for nothing off the field so they can concentrate on the field.

Tim is always first at the club, sets up of a morning, sets up morning tea, sets up afternoon tea, cooks on the BBQ, cleans up before someone has even made a mess, he’s our handyman, provides uncountable hours during the week as caretaker of our Sporting Club rooms, jumps behind the bar, empties all the bins, cleans the bathrooms, picks up and stores people’s lost property and that’s only scratching the surface on what he does for our club!!!

In one word to describe Tim Graham - SUPERMAN !

In what was perfect timing, the club was also able to unveil the brand new VCC Honour Board that sits proudly next to the bar area.  All awards have been updated along with the history of recipients, including our latest Life Member being Tim, who just happened to be also awarded the Best Club Person for Season 2019/20 - appropriately named the "Tim Graham Award"...!!

As Neale summarised, VCC is very fortunate to have such a selfless and great man around that is dedicated to our club, the players & members.  Please acknowledge & congratulate Tim when you next see him.
